हर रात के हसीं ख्वाबों सा मेरा साया. कभी घटता कभी बढता, चंदा सा मेरा साया, सहरा कि रेत पे,मोती सा मेरा साया, समंदर कि लहरों सा मेरा साया, मेरी हर एक ख़ुशी में खुश, ग़म में ग़मज़दा ऐसा है मेरा साया, हशरतों से भरा, लहरों कि तरह उमड़ता सा मेरा साया, जाने क्यों कहते हैं कि अँधेरे में साथ छोड़ देता हैं साया, हर रात का अंधियारा हि तो हैं मेरा साया, सर्द रातों की पलंग पे चादर सा मेरा साया. हर रात के हसीं ख्वाबों सा मेरा साया.

झुकी पलकों के पीछे, बंद संदूक में , कंटीले बाड़ के पार, अंधियारी गुफा में, क्या है छिपा, किसको पता, कोशिश करो उन बंद पलकों की गहराइयों में, जो है छुपा उसे समझने की . खोलो उस संदूक को, टटोलो वो लम्हे, कुछ खट्टे कुछ मीठे. स्वप्न से सुन्दर, जल से निर्मल, कुछ जाने-अनजाने से. आवाज दो उस बाड़ के परे, उन गुफाओ की वीरानियो में , शायद कोई बैठा हो, सहमा हुआ, घुप अंधियारे से डरा हुआ . इक किरण के इंतज़ार में .
